January 18, 2020 - Ucayali, Peru

About 19 cubic meters of short logs were seized by authorities at a mill on the Federico Basadre highway in the Yarinacocha District. The logs consisted of the species Shihuahuaco (Cumaru), Estoraque (Santos Mahogany), and Pumaquiro and were allegedly destined to become wood flooring blanks. The logs were said to be without official documentation proving its legal provenance.
