April 22, 2021 - Amazonas, Brazil

The Federal Police closed four sawmills in the district of Matupi on April 21st. The agents found a sawmill that was operating despite having previously been shut down by IBAMA. Three more alleged illegal sawmills were identified that had wood without Documents of Forest Origin. The wood and heavy machinery were seized.
