February 2, 2021 - Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil

The Federal Highway Police seized 37.5 cubic meters of lumber on highway BR-267 on February 2. The cargo allegedly departed from Guarantã do Norte where it was loaded. The document of forest origin was expired and the invoice declared a volume significantly smaller than the physical cargo. The company in Guarantã do Norte was fined. The species appears to possibly be Ipe.
