80 containers of suspected illegal wood allegedly sailed from Pemba

January 31, 2021 - Cabo Delgado, Mozambique

According to a report by EXPANSAO, Mozambique issued an arrest warrant for a shipping vessel that allegedly left the port of Pemba illegally. The vessel is suspected of transporting more than 80 containers of illegal wood that was in the port after being seized in August of 2020. A suspect is being held in Pemba. This is a developing story.
