January 19, 2021 - Zabaykalsky, Russia

A criminal case has be begun in the illegal felling of 2,500 Cedar trees, 300 Birch trees, 90 Larch trees, 50 Pine trees and 21 Aspen trees. The illegal timber harvest occurred in the period between January to February 2000 in the Krasnochikoiskiy District. A foreman of a limited liability company is accused of illegal logging and transport of the timber.
