December 21, 2020 - Mato Grosso, Brazil

The Civil Police, in coordination with the Environmental Military Police and SEMA seized 650 cubic meters of hardwood logs of various species including Angelim Saia, Angico, and Sucupira in addition to three chainsaws and a tractor. The seizure followed an investigation into a group of people who were allegedly logging without the legal documentation required by law.
