Ibama and the Military Police (Cipa/PM) of Roraima conducted an operation in southern Roraima during the month of November. Eight timber companies were suspended, 497 cubic meters of logs and 407m3 of lumber were seized. The wood allegedly did not have proof of legal origin. Part of the confiscated goods were waiting transport, hidden in the back of one of the assessed companies. None of the pieces had a Forest Origin Document.
