November 9, 2020 - Pará, Brazil

The Finance Secretariat of Pará (Sefa) seized 1,515 cubic meters of wood in Curralinho on November 9. The cargo allegedly did not have proof of payment of the Tax on Goods and Services (ICMS) for the freight. The vessel originated from the Prainha and was destined for Belém. The owner paid about US$ 5,289 in fines plus tax, and the cargo was released.
