According to the MPF, a father and son were arrested in early September for fraud of the Document of Forest Origin System (DOF) and for storing wood in their yard without proven origin in Tartarugalzinho. The lumber company had been blocked on June 2 after Federal Police and IBAMA found a volume of wood 200 times greater that they reported in the DOF system. In the yard, the company had 365 cubic meters of logs and lumber, but only 4m3 declared in the DOF system.
