Mesquite, Palo Amarillo and Quebracho trees logged illegally in El Algarrobal

January 22, 2020 - Salta, Argentina

Ten hectares of forest were cleared illegally near the community of El Algarrobal including trees of Algarrobo (Mesquite), Palo Maria, and Quebracho. Timber harvested in the area is said to go to sawmills in Salvador Mazza, Tartagal, and Mosconi. The incident allegedly occurred in early January.
