October 6, 2020 - Mato Grosso, Brazil

The PRF and INDEA (Institute of Agricultural Defense of Mato Grosso) seized about 30 cubic meters (12,700 board feet) of illegal lumber on highway BR-070 on October 5th. The species transported did not match the species declared in the Document of Forest Origin (DOF). Species transported included Protium robustum (Breu), Copaifera sp (Copaiba), Lecythis sp (Sapucaia) and Ocotea sp (Canaleão). Authorities did not disclose the presumed point of embarkation or destination.
