September 8, 2020 - Pará, Brazil

After receiving complaints, the Secretariat of Environment and Sustainability of Pará (SEMAS) and the Environmental Police (BPA) conducted inspections in the municipality of Portel that resulted in the seizure of 509.51 cubic meters of logs of various species at a clandestine log yard on the banks of the Pacajá River. The operation lasted 13 days and concluded on September 5.
