Eight arrested for illegal logging of Mussivi near Menongue

September 1, 2020 - Cuando Cubango, Angola

According to VOA, seven nationals and one foreigner were arrested about 45 kilometers from Menongue on charges related to the illegal logging of 66 cubic meters of Mussivi timber. One of the suspects allegedly confirmed that he purchased 66m3 of Mussivi for about US$ 9,000 (about US$ 136/m3).
