August 31, 2020 - Woleu-Ntem, Gabon

According to numerous reports, an NGO alleges that two logging companies operating in Haut-Ntem have been harvesting timber without complying with the legal requirement of entering into contractual agreements with the local communities. More specifically decree 105/MFEPRN/SG/DGF/DDF/SACF of 6 May 2014. The denunciations allegedly originate from the communities of Bolossoville-Meleme and Belfort.
