August 23, 2020 - Huánuco, Peru

According to FEMA, the ATFFS seized 53.45 cubic meters of Balsa wood, also known as Topa (Ochroma pyramidale), at the control post in Churubamba on August 22. The wood was allegedly being transported with fake documents. The forest transport guide document (GTF) alleged that the shipment originated in Trompeteros, Loreto and was destined for Callao port.
