August 25, 2020 - Mato Grosso, Brazil

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 30 cubic meters of lumber on BR-364 in Rondonópolis on August 24. When verifying the Document of Forest Origin, the PRFs found that the validity period had expired (08/07/2020), as well as there was a divergence between the vehicle that effectively carried out the cargo and the one authorized in the document. Thus, the document has no validity and consequently the cargo is considered illegal. The Mato Grosso PRF did not disclose the presumed species, point of embarkation, or destination.
