August 20, 2020 - Pará, Brazil

After receiving anonymous reports, Military Police and Civil Police seized logging equipment and more than 100 cubic meters of illegally harvested wood in the Chapadão region of the municipality of Santarém on August 19. Species seized included Massaranduba, Piquia, and Angelim. The logging was carried out at the branch line that gives access to the municipality of Placa.
