August 18, 2020 - Cuando Cubango, Angola

Authorities seized 200 cubic meters (equivalent to about 10 truckloads) of Mussivi wood near the village of Baixo-Longa. The illegal loggers were caught in a protected area of KAZA in the act of preparing the illegally harvested Mussivi slabs for transport to lumber yards in Menongue and Cuito Cuanavale.
