August 12, 2020 - Mato Grosso, Brazil

Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 50 cubic meters of lumber during a routine inspection on highway BR-163 in Sorriso on August 11. The Forest Guide only allowed for the transport of 30.6m3. Also, the type of lumber product in the cargo did not match that in the transport documents. The presumed species, place of embarkation, and destination were not disclosed by the Sorriso PRF.
