August 10, 2020 - Ucayali, Peru

The Peruvian Navy, along with GERFF and PNP, intercepted a river boat containing about 117 cubic meters (50,000 board feet) of sawn wood of the Tornillo and Cedro species in the Ucayali River near Puerto Rocha. According to DICAPI, the wood was not accompanied by supporting documentation. According to GERFF, Cedro accounted for about 10m3. The shipment allegedly originated in Loreto.
