August 8, 2020 - Bahia, Brazil

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 60.5 cubic meters of illegal lumber at kilometer 800 of highway BR-242 in Barrieras on August 7. According to the PRF, the driver presented false documentation. When analyzing the authenticity of the documentation, the PRF discovered that the document numbering was not included in the Environmental Forest Control System. The wood allegedly originated in Pará.
