August 6, 2020 - Madre de Dios, Peru

The Regional Forestry and Wildlife Management in Madre de Dios (GERFOR-MDD) seized approximately 122 cubic meters of lumber in three trucks in the community of Sudadero on August 5. Species included Mahogany, Spanish Cedar, Zapote and Moena. According to GERFOR-MDD, no documentation that proves the legal origin of wood was presented at the time of the operation.
