Two arrested for illegal logging near Conselvan

August 1, 2020 - Mato Grosso, Brazil

Two men were arrested and a third escaped into the forest during a patrol by the Military Police near the Conselvan community on July 30. The three were caught loading illegally harvested logs onto a truck. A few of the logs appear to be of the Peltogyne genera, commonly known as Roxao or Roxhino.
