August 1, 2020 - Piauí, Brazil

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized three truckloads of wood in transit on highway BR-135 totaling 127.19 cubic meters on July 28 and 29 in Manoel Emídio. In two vehicles the drivers presented environmental licenses with a different wood profile than the one transported. In the other vehicle, the driver did not present any type of tax document or environmental license for the timber load. In all three cases the wood allegedly came from the state of Pará.
