July 20, 2020 - East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) seized 175.33 cubic meters of Merbau and Meranti lumber in a warehouse in Wuring Harbor on July 10. According to the KLHK, the wood originated from Maluku and was allegedly transported with fake Forest Product Certificate documents (SKSHHK) from a sawmill in the village of Parigi in North Seram, Central Maluku. The documents were reportedly equipped with a fake barcode.
