July 21, 2020 - Piauí, Brazil

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 46 cubic meters of illegal sawn wood on highway BR-135 on July 21 in Manoel Emídio. The driver was asked to present all the necessary documentation for transporting forest products. The driver presented an environmental license that was previously used, which is prohibited by law. The cargo allegedly came from the state of Pará and was destined for the city of Juazeiro. In less than a year, the driver has been caught three times committing this same crime.
