July 19, 2020 - Pará, Brazil

According to Globo, two logging camps were destroyed and equipment and machinery were seized near the Corta-Corda settlement along the Transuruará highway. The loggers allegedly fled when the inspection teams arrived. Logs and sawn wood were found and believed to exceed 1,000 cubic meters. The inspection was part of the Amazônia Viva law enforcement operation.
