July 6, 2020 - Maranhão, Brazil

The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized an estimated 234 cubic meters of illegal sawn wood in the Nova Vitória neighborhood near kilometer 335 of highway BR-010 between Açailândia and Itinga do Maranhão on July 4. The wood was located in 5 trucks that were reportedly stopped in the neighborhood for at least 3 days. The drivers fled when the police arrived.
