June 12, 2020 - Lima, Peru

SERFOR and the Peruvian National Police seized 35.37 cubic meters of Cumala (Virola sebifera) lumber in transit at the control post in Corcona. The wood was presumably of illegal origin from Ucayali. The Forest Transport Guide allegedly contained discrepancies between what was declared in the documents and the species transported.
