Ninety six timber rafts totaling approximately 50 tons (or about 2-1/2 truckloads) of sawn wood of Meranti species were seized in waters off of the Tasik Putri Puyu District by the Riau Regional Police. The processed wood was not accompanied by a legal certificate of forest products (SKSHH). The wood was allegedly destined for Bengkalis and originated on Pedang Island.
